Blog Overload

This is going to be major blog overload. Living in a small town blogging has become a chore because our internet connection is so slow. I will just update the most important things and an update of each one of us.

I got this beauty for Christmas (Thanks Dad and Cindy!) and until now haven't been able to download any pictures.

*Our most exciting news is that we are in the process of purchasing our first home. We decided to buy a home in town so that Jared doesn't have to commute everyday and we are going to have to be here a few more years than we planned so this was the best way to go. Let me say it is quite a process and we have had some set backs but we don't close until June 3rd so hopefully everything will come together. I will post pictures once we know it is our house for sure and after we get all settled in.

*Easter was wonderful this year. We have taken our traditions and put a new spin on them. We now have asked the Easter Bunny to visit our house on Saturdays and I sure love it this way. Saturday morning we saw the great baskets that the kids got filled with outdoor play toys and of course swimsuits a yearly tradition. We then had our own little easter egg hunt where Jaxon and Paisley got more special things that the grandparents had sent them. Grandpa and Grandmas thank you for all the wonderful presents. Jaxon and I then had some time together to go the the town easter egg hunt. Jaxon had fun hunting for easter eggs, jumping in bounce houses, and riding a horse (something I have never done, I know true city girl). Sunday we enjoyed each others company and had a relaxing day with good food.

These are cute pictures that my sister-in-law Teresa took of the kids in their Easter outfits

*Paisley: Our baby turned 1 last Monday and I can't believe how fast that year went. We just celebrated with a small family party and of course letting her enjoy a cupcake. Our sweet girl is walking all over the place and learning new words everyday. Her personality has really blossomed the last couple of months and she is such a funny girl.

*Jaxon: I can't believe that he turned 3 in December. We celebrated with a party at Chuck-e-Cheese. I feel so bad that I am this late in blogging about it. He hit another milestone when he became a sunbeam in January. He is loving primary and is doing well and we are working on him memorizing his Articles of Faith. I love the conversations that we have together and how he can express everything to me. He sure has gotten some attitude lately and his new favorite thing to say to me when he is in trouble is "Don't say those words to me mom." I love to watch how much he adores Paisley and he can't wait for her to wake up from her nap.

*Jared: This man amazes me. The job here has turned out to be more demanding than we thought it would be. Due to the economy the company is lower on funds and cannot hire anymore counselors so the counselors have a lot more work to do. Jared was told he would cap off at 50-55 clients and has reached 70 and his 40 hour work week is really more like 45 hours without overtime pay. Not to mention the 14 hours he drives once a month for Navy. He still finds time to play with the kids and fulfill his duties at home even when he is exhausted. I love to watch how excited Paisley and Jaxon get when he walks in the door. I am grateful for all that he does to provide for our family

*Me: Nothing new with me I am just enjoying my time watching my children grow and although some days the demands of being a mom can be difficult I wouldn't trade it for the world. I am very content with life right now. I am really enjoying the weather here and not having to deal with driving in snow.

*Disney on Ice: In March the kids and I went to Disney on Ice while we were in northern Utah. The show included Little Mermaid, Lion King, Tinkerbell, and Cars. Due to weather and traffic we were running late and missed the first part of the show. When we asked my mother-in-law what we missed she said Little Mermaid so we were excited that we hadn't missed Cars. So we watched the rest of the show and it ended with no Cars. My mother-in-law was literally only like two minutes late so we are still unsure if they ever showed Cars if so it was a quick one. I felt so bad because that is what Jaxon was looking forward to but he seemed to enjoy the rest of the show.

What a fun last few months you've had! I can't believe Paisley is 1! What a big girl she is. How exciting that you're going to buy a house. I can't wait to see pictures. We closed on our house a couple years ago on June 3rd too so I think it's a lucky day to buy a house. =) Glad things are going well for all of you.
